Artist Bio

Everett Penn, a rising artist based in Sacramento, California, has been passionate about painting since the age of five. Born in San Francisco and growing up in San Jose, he is the son of a car manufacturing factory worker. His journey into art began early and was later de through formal training at San Francisco City College, Sacramento City College, and Sacramento State University.

Everett’s work is deeply rooted in the human experience. He specializes in capturing the essence of human figures and portraits, drawing inspiration from those closest to him, as well as historical figures. His still life compositions add another layer to his portfolio, reflecting his keen eye for detail and composition.

Influenced by masters such as Richard Diebenkorn, Kerry James Marshall, David Park, Pierre Bonnard, Chaim Soutine, and Henri Matisse, Everett’s style is a vibrant blend of color and emotion. His paintings evoke a sense of familiarity while exploring the complexity of the human form and the beauty in everyday objects.

Everett Penn’s work invites viewers to connect with the stories behind each figure and object, offering a fresh perspective on contemporary figurative art.
